所以问题是，我已经在我的Windows 7 Ultimate OS中用IIS托管了一个 ASP.NET 和C#网站。不是我需要能够从 ubuntu 访问同一个站点，它实际上是在 VMWare 下运行的虚拟化操作系统。

我可以在我的 Windows 7 PC 上访问该网站，没有任何问题。但在Ununtu内部，似乎没有办法做同样的事情。

我搜索了很多论坛，没有运气！禁用防火墙（实际上）以确保不会出现安全问题，但仍然无法执行所需的操作。

这是错误： 

Server not found
          Firefox can't find the server at www.google.com.
